CONSTRUCTION CLEANUP

One of the specialty services that we excel in is known as “construction cleanup” or “final clean” window cleaning. This is the first window cleaning before a structure is occupied. Construction cleanup is tricky, arduous and requires skilled, experienced technicians to be completed properly. Concrete, overspray, caulking, adhesives and all types of foreign matter cling to windows during the construction process. We take care of this problem. Clean Services has completed some of the largest and most challenging construction cleanup jobs in Portland over the last few years. Jobs include new high rises in South Waterfront, The Pearl, at PDX and residential homes/complexes. Pricing requires an onsite bid.

Just keep in mind the following:

Skylights, storms, French panes and other specialty windows are extra.
We determine accessible windows as either walkups, or those reachable with up to a 28’ ladder. Advanced ladder climbs requiring 2 man crews or extra high work tend to cost a bit more. We can let you know at the time of service. If your windows are absolutely impossible to reach, our highly trained rope access technicians can probably handle your issue. We are industry leaders when it comes to rappelling to, and cleaning those windows that others simply cannot touch.
Most people are happy with their screens and inside tracks getting a simple wipe down, but if yours need that full soap and water treatment just let us know. There is an adjustment for each depending on complexity. We can do a demonstration test upon arrival to determine your individual needs.
Construction cleanup or scraping, such as paint, glue, grill grease or sealer removal is not included but can be added. Hard water restoration can also be performed. This usually requires a scratch glass waiver to be signed in advance. Please let us know if you think any of these apply and we will prep our team to address your situation.
At the time of service, we will do a walkthrough and confirm the final price prior to commencing work. Please let us know if there is any damage that we should be aware of. Think cracked glass or broken screens. Please make sure that all your access gates are unlocked and your sills are relatively unobstructed. Let us know your time constraints and if there are any areas you would like us to avoid. Our crew undergo extensive background checks and our competent to complete the work if you need to leave. Payment is due upon completion.

What Method Do You Use to Clean Windows?

The great majority of the time we clean all glass professionally, using a mop, lightly soaped water, and a squeegee. Our technicians are also trained in a technique known as “the swirl” in which an entire pane of glass is cleaned in one motion, eliminating streaks and ensuring full coverage of the window. How Often Do Most of Your Clients Have Their Windows Cleaned?

The majority of our clients have their windows cleaned twice a year. Some will have it done three or four times, but twice is our standard recommendation. Leaving them uncleaned for a year or longer can cause mineral stains or other “plaque” to build up on the glass, so some sort of regularly scheduled maintenance is definitely prudent. To each their own, but having windows cleaned more than four times per year is probably overkill.
